Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known because of her part as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she received the Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only child of her mother who was a homemaker and senior executive from her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with her four brothers. The idea of becoming a court reporter during her early years, but began modeling in high school eventually garnering commercials following her move to New York. Her first role as an actor came as a young girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Since then, Delaney has appeared in numerous TV dramas and films. Her career hasn't been successful or happy personal life. She has been in the past gifted actress was struggling to overcome addiction to alcohol, and was married twice only to fail. Her custody in 2005 was taken away from her.
